40 Halloween-Themed Figurative Language Examples

Add some fun to your week with these 40 Halloween-themed figurative language examples.

Every once in a while, we like to come up with a list of figurative language examples that you can use with your students at different times of the year.

This month, we have compiled 40 Halloween-themed figurative language examples that you can use in activities before or during your class Halloween party.

We have written many posts about Halloween in the past, so take some time to click on the images below to read about additional ideas we have for celebrating Halloween in upper elementary.

These Halloween-themed figurative language examples can be used on their own on task cards for sorting or identification, or you can incorporate them into some of our other games.

Since Halloween falls pretty early in the school year, you can also use these examples to pre-assess students or to use as a method of teaching about the different figurative language types.

Happy Planning!
